Refection of This Portfolio
This page is dedicated to the reflection of the content of this portfolio as well as a reflection of the course in which this site was created in context to. In the following sections the course, the documents, and my goals are all analyzed to show why and how this portfolio was written, how it affects my career goals, and what I learned.
English 202C Technical Writing:

In this course I learned a great deal that all lead to me to become an even better writer. This course had 5 assignments; an internet resource guide, a job/resume packet, a Technical definition/description document, an instruction set, and an internet e-portfolio. In each of the aforementioned assignments I learn how to word organize and even plan for each type of document. For example, in the technical definition assignment I learned how to organize and choose visuals such that they can take the place of words in an explanation. I also learned how to limit what is said which has always been a problem for me. This means that I have gained skills that will allow me to be more effective in a job and pursuing my career goals.

The documents that are shown in this portfolio are meant to showcase how professional, organized, and concise that I can be. Each document has had the most work put into them for the courses that they were made in and are the most edited pieces, therefor the best pieces, of work that I have done to date. Not only for each piece of work did I learn new ways of organizing ideas and messages, but I how to make better documents just by improving my judgement for what is necessary in each document.

I hope to focus my career towards work that involves fluids or thermal management. Both of these career choices require that I use descriptive and concise means of communication whether written or verbal. Since I am so much better than I ever was in communicating I can now make full use of my experience in college.
E-Portfolio:
In order to express how unique and varied I am but still at the same time show that professionalism means a lot to me the one page that is really personalized is the about page. Here I make an effort to tell as much about who I am as I can both with the back ground picture and the explanation of who I am. The picture is supposed to represent my love of mechanics, games, and comics since it is from the comic book Agatha Heterodyne Girl Genius. I choose to use simple backgrounds and text in order to accommodate both programs that help the disabled and people who just want the information presented.
My resume is ordered so that the most important topics that affect a career or job are presented first; my education, and previous jobs. In order to accommodate anyone who is looking for more on my site I have included a search bar and intend to further update this site so that even words in the documents may be searchable through it sometime in 2016. All of this has been decided due to the guidance from the English 202C teachings on how to make an effective website.
